Dior Diorific Grand Bal Collection 2012 : Diva Lipstick & Marilyn Nail Polish

Happy Friday everyone!

Dior came up with a limited edition line for the past holidays  The ones that were to me most interesting were the lipstick in Diva and nail polish in Marilyn.

Diva lipstick 3.5g
The packaging is really amazing and very luxurious! Similar ones were available in limited editions years ago!

The product itself is a really pretty wearable red! For the red-lipstick-lovers, this would be a treasure! It's a rich true red with neutral undertones ( this is what makes it so wearable) and a neutral sheen.
As far as quality, is a super pigmented, creamy, definitely full coverage lipstick. The only thing that may be irritating to some of you is the smell. Depending on what you like, the floral smell might be too intense for you.

Marilyn Nail polish  12ml
This packaging is even prettier than the other one! The round shape with the gold details makes it so elegant
A very pretty medium red cream color. I would actually consider this as a blue-based red with neutral undertones. There is a slight shimmer, noticeable only in light.
The formula is medium, not too watery but not too opaque. Two coats are quite sheer in the sunlight, so you might have to apply three.

That was all for the red lipstick and nail polish combo!!

Nail of the day: Orly Rage!

Happy Monday!!

I was looking at my nails yesterday and i thought : Hey!! That nail polish has been my favorite for sooo long! And i decided that today's post would be all about it! I think it's worth it!!
Soooo.....mmmm orly rage...this was actually my sister's recommendation a year ago! We were on the hunt for this color for so long! I'm sure that almost all of you have heard of it! It's a really pretty metallic shimmery rose gold color, not similar to anything i've seen!

the light reflects the shimmer in it and makes it even prettier

Below, i have lots of pictures just because it's a tricky color to catch in a photo shot!

I used two coats of it as it's not very sheer. Although, sometimes i think that as the days go by, the shimmer fades a bit and may need another application! The price is kind of expensive but i think as far as the color pay off, the brush and the size of the bottle....it's worth it!
Totally unique and totally pretty!!! Rose gold rocks this season agaiiinnn! So, if you haven't still seen it in person, i recommend you do!

Hope this was fun for you as it was for me!!!

Review: Sleek i-Divine au naturel palette

Hi everyone!
This is my first eeeever blog post and i can't hide you that i'm suuuuuuper excited! But...let's get started!

I recently got my hands on the Sleek au naturel palette.

First of all, the shape of the palette is amazing. It's super thin and sleek (as the names says!).

There are twelve eyeshadows in the palette. The colors range from cool to warm and from light to dark.

Most of the colors are matte, except from 1 slightly metallic and 3 metallic (which are the most pigmented).

The first six eyeshadows:

from the left: nougat, nubuck, cappuccino, honeycomb, toast, taupe

Nougat: a matte white basic color, nice for the inner corner and the brow bone.
Nubuck: matte brown almost grey color, cool toned, amazing all over color
Cappuccino: matte medium brown color, good for blending colors together
Honeycomb: a unique, warm, yellow based light brown color, matte
Toast: a peachy matte color, nice for spring
Taupe: maybe the prettiest color in the palette, a metallic peachy rose gold color with a slight shimmer

The bottom six eyeshadows:

from the left: noir, regal, mineral earth, bark, moss, conker

Noir: a super pigmented matte black
Regal: a dark purple matte color, almost aubergine
Mineral earth: a dark, metallic  brown with slight shimmer in it  (similar to conker, but darker)
Bark: dark, grey based, cool tone, brown color, totally matte, amazing for shaping your eyes
Moss: a slightly metallic warm golden-olive color
Conker: a metallic warm dark brown color with a reddish undertone, slight shimmery, great for the crease

The price was really good (10 euro), so about less than 1 euro per eyeshadow! That's crazy! The eyeshadows are 1.1 g each. It also comes with a two sided applicator brush which i'm not really fond of! The eyeshadows themselves  are also quite blendable and pigmented. As an overall, the price is very good for what you get! I totally recommend it as it has a big selection of everyday natural colors with some unique once to alternate.

See you soon!
